About the general responsibilities;
- Works closely with other Outlet employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
- Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required.
- Assist in opening (including mise en place) set up and closing of the outlet and communicate the information necessary to ensure a smooth handover before a break and at the end of a shift.
- Seats, takes orders and serves food and beverage to guest according to the established sequence and procedures.
- Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
- Maintain a complete knowledge of menu items, and of the services and operating times of the Hotel outlets.
- Presents menu, answers enquiries and makes suggestions regarding food, beverage as well as recommending wines to complement food.
- Respond to guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, both in person and on the telephone
- Provide excellent service to serve food and beverage to restaurant guests.
- Opening bottles and pouring beverages including mixing liquor and assisting in the cellar
- Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen
- Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
- Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers
- Salary range : 57K – 62K
It is expected that the successful candidate have:
- 2-3 years' experience in a fine dining or similar environment
- Current NSW RSA Certificate
- Complaint Handling Skills
- Sufficient experience in a similar environment
- Ability to work a rotational roster
- Good knowledge of wines and other beverages
